MINUTES OF BOARD OF REVIEW
TOWN OF JANESVILLE
May 24th 2010
5:30pm-7:30pm
Posted: Monday, May 10th 2010 at the town hall, Lion's Quick Mart,
Consolidated School, in the town of Janesville and at Hackbarth Hills
Golf Course Clubhouse.
Members Present: Chairman Edward Marshall, Supervisors Robert Mielke,
David Rebout, Bruce Schneider, Gary Fox, Clerk Linda Fewell.
Members Absent: none
Meeting called to order, by Chairman Marshall at 5:28 p.m., in the
town hall, 1628 N. Little Court, Janesville, WI.
The 2010 Board of Review was called to order by Assessor, at 5:30 p.m.
Monday, May 24th 2010 in the town meeting hall, 1628 N. Little Court,
Janesville, WI..
Present: Roll Call: Chairman Edward Marshall, Supervisors Robert
Mielke, David Rebout, Bruce Schneider, Gary Fox, Clerk Linda Fewell.
Absent: none
Others Present: Assessor
Certified members : Robert Mielke, Ed Marshall, David Rebout and Bruce
Schneider.
Moved by Mielke, seconded by Fox, to appoint Ed Marshall as Chair of
the 2010 Janesville Town Board of Review. Motion carried on voice
vote.
Moved by Mielke, seconded by Rebout, to appoint Bruce Schneider as
Vice Chair of the 2010 Janesville Town Board of Review. Motion carried
on voice vote.
Clerk Fewell also reported that the Town of Janesville open book was
held on Monday, April 19th 2010. The legal ad for the Board of Review
ran in the Janesville Gazette on May 10th 2010 and was also posted on
that date at the town office, Lion's Quick Mart, Consolidated School
and Hackbarth Hills Golf Course Clubhouse.
Clerk Fewell swore in Town Assessor for all hearings before the Board
of Review today. He addressed the board with a short history of the
towns maintenance assessment.
Objection forms were submitted to the Board of Review
Parcel 6-8-179.A _____________Michael Spoden
Appearing: Self with Attorney Jeff Roethe
Objection: Property valued at $105,000.00, Michael Spoden feels that
the property should be about $90,000.00. Michael spoke about the
driveway conditions being very poor, also that it services 2 parcels.
Decision: Moved by Marshall, seconded by Mielke to leave the
assessment as it is in the roll book. Motion carried on voice vote.
Moved by Rebout, seconded by Schneider, to adjourn the 2010 Town of
Janesville Board of Review. Motion carried on voice vote.
Meeting adjourned at 7:28 p.m., May 24th 2010.
